Private tutoring is the fastest way to become fluent in another language because you have the complete and constant attention of your Super-Learners Language Guide. We use your 2-hr sessions in several ways. First of all, to perfect your pronunciation. Then with your native-like pronunciation on automatic in your brain, you are ready to start chatting away in your new language. Speaking to your S-L Language Guide as often as possible in your new language will ultimately reinforce your comprehension and speaking abilities in 1/3 the time it would take you in a group situation. The more time you spend speaking your new language, the faster you will become fluent! Furthermore, with your busy work and travel schedule, you have the advantage and the flexibility of scheduling your classes at your convenience as well as rescheduling your lessons if something comes up.
There are also other reasons people choose private lessons: honing in your pronunciation so that it is native-like, the option to use SKYPE when you’re traveling, and last but not least, the luxury of going at your own pace.
What is fluency?
Fluency comes in different levels. An example of fluency, for example, is that if you can go to dinner with a native speaker and speak onlythe target language in the present, past and future tenses for two hours, you are fluent! Children learn new languages at lightning speed because they are right-brained until they are about 12 years old, and can read and write their own native language with ease. Thus, the younger the child, the faster he or she will learn other languages.
With our holistic techniques, your childwill learn at lighening speed and retain it if he has continued exposure to the language. The CDs we provide must be played for them 30 minutes a day, five days a week. Your little new LINGUIST will delight you, entertain you and make you envious of his new fluency! But remember, let him/her choose the language! Motivationis another key to fluency in another language!
The perfect opportunity for your children to interact with their friends, your friends’ children, or neighbors. You schedule the class at any time that is convenient for your niños, enfants, bambini (children).
Why Autumn Leaves? Well, it is a feeling of mellowness that I get when I think of the song and imagine the beauty of trees which turn different shades of yellow, brown and red in the autumn. Many enlightened parents are aware these days that neuroscience now makes a distinction between the Left and the Right Brain. The Right brain is the one that responds to music, emotions, knows how to play, falls in love, establishes relationships, and is the center of imagination and intuition. The Left Brain is the workaday brain, business-like, down-to earth, the book-learning part of the brain. In normal development of children, the right brain develops first, and some say is there at birth, followed, little by little, by the left brain. In a traditional school setting, education is geared towards the left brain as the children grow, more and more. Often leaving the right brain behind because of the absence of art, music, etc.
At Super-Learners, we believe, and experts agree, that language is best learned and taught in the early years when the right brain is still dominant. It is in the very early years that we learn our first language-our mother tongue-and it is also during this tender age, that children best learn a second language, and a third and a fourth.
Your child is in an age group that is ideal for learning another language. Our Language Camp for children will use fun and games in class and outside of class, listening to CDs, all of which will appeal to the right brain and promote right brain learning.
However, we’ll need the parents’ left brain to support the process. You will be asked to get your child to class, to be sure they listen to their CDs in bed before going to sleep, five nights a week, and to playfully have your child teach you his new language!
Corporate programs
Super-Learners offers on-site group classes for corporations. At your request, a proposal for your company will be sent to your business.
Weekly Classes
Students usually meet once or twice a week for the duration of the course.
Length of Class Sessions
Each class session lasts minimum 2 hours (no break) or maximum 3 hours (5-10 min break after 1 ½ hrs)
Number of Students Per Class
With the Super-Learners Method, the maximum number of students recommended is from 10 – 15 people in one class.
Class Level Placement
Students are individually evaluated to determine their experience with the language to be taught and put into the correct group.
• Group 1: Total Beginners
• Group 2: Students with some exposure to the language (1 – 2 years)
Cost of Materials
The Super-Learners Script and CDs are included in the tuition.
Attendance
A Super-Learners Class Calendar is included. In case the student is absent, he may still listen to the required material/story on his CD and come prepared to class.
Hours Needed
Level 1 is 60 hours in which students learn to speak in the present, the past and the future. We offer 20-hr, 40-hr and 60-hr packages.
Tuition
To be determined by the number of students enrolled and the number of hours for which the company signs up.
Skype lessons
Super-Learners Language School now has available language classes over the internet, using Skype. Technology has made it possible for you to learn a new language with the ONLY Holistic Method available in the world or to simply practice it from anywhere in the world. Right in your living room! In a café! By the pool! Or, right in your office! Relax, sit back, put your headphones on, adjust the microphone, and you are now ready to hablar español, parler français, parlare italiano or to speak English….with an American accent!
